Safe Kids Kenya – A member of Safe Kids Worldwide

We are a member of Safe Kids Worldwide, which is an organisation formed in 1988 with an extensive network of more than 600 coalitions in the US and partner organizations in 23 countries globally to reduce injuries from motor vehicles and other incidences. Safe Kids Worldwide provides technical assistance in our efforts to campaign for child injury prevention in the country. Through the Kenya Child Safety campaign in 2016-17, the Foundation actively advocated for the incorporation of child safety in the Traffic Act. The Act now caters for the reduction of speeds around schools, the regulation of school transport with the introduction of new standards and the incorporation of penalties & fines for traffic offenders.
